 "Being
a composer and pianist, creates a challenge of connecting with
individual listeners in an intimate and personal way. Whether
there are thousands or one individual as an audience, it is
knowing that I am touching a soul that makes it rewarding.
For me, there is no better way to express myself than on a
piano. In each of my albums, I want the instrumental piano music
to take the listener to who and what is important in his own
life."
Stephen began playing the piano at age 5. His piano teacher of
Julliard tradition, taught him the value of dynamics and the
beauty of the piano in conveying feelings in a piece. After
college, Stephen began composing music. "The melody is the
focus in expressing what a piece is about." Eleven years
after composing his first music, Stephen recorded his first
album.
